SUMNER FITNESS is a private membership club located at The Shops at Sumner Place in Bethesda.   We are comprised of a team of enthusiastic and energetic fitness and health care professionals who are dedicated to helping you improve your health and fitness.

SUMNER FITNESS provides members with:

   the latest, user-friendly equipment for:

            cardio conditioning

            strength training

            flexibility and

            free weights

   experienced group of certified trainers

   friendly and welcoming setting

   a clean, comfortable and motivational atmosphere for our members

   professionally designed and decorated facility with luxury locker rooms


We strive to be a welcoming beacon in the community.  We showcase the work of local artists on our walls - to give them exposure and to enhance the decor.

We believe resistance training in combination with cardiovascular exercise, good dietary habits and stretching to be the best anti-aging medicine.   This combination can prevent muscle tissue loss, boost metabolic rate, strengthen bones and improve balance.   Exercise also promotes leanness, lowers blood pressure and reduces your risk of coronary disease.

The best part is that it works at any age, on any body. (We strongly recommend that you get your physician's approval prior to beginning your workout routine).
